Harry's Flash ActionScript Portfolio - Games and Applications

Looking for Flex Samples?  My portfolio of Flex samples that I've created as a Flex consultant are not yet available on my website.  I have been too busy writing Flex applications for clients, and so I haven't had time to create my own original Flex applications worth showcasing.

Applications that I've written in Flex include the use of Cairngorm framework, and open-source libraries such as Quietly Scheming and Sandy.

Below are a few samples of my work in Flash (which was my expertise before Flex).  These applications were written without the assistance of the elegant Flex components and mxml language.

Original Works

Real-time 3-D (Cool!)
Explore a 3D world without having to download software or plugins.  Not just a "3D-looking" effect.  Uses native x, y, z coordinates for every point.  Original author of 3D rendering engine.

Podcast Squares (Cool!)
One Click Discovery of Podcasts with this Rich Internet Application website.  Written in ActionScript, this one-page site integrates a podcast directory and player.

Toy Snake
This is the first Flash application I ever wrote.  A modern remake of the classic snake game.

Cropping a Photograph with Photo Editing Tools (Quickie)
Perform custom cropping on a photograph, then preview the zoomed cropped image.  See real-time XML changes.  This tool is modular and can be integrated with a complete Flash-based photo editing system.

USA Pinpoint Map (Quickie)
Demonstration of map selection Flash interface.  Geographical selection application written in ActionScript by Harry Garland.

Fourier in a Flash (Quickie)
Add sine waves to synthesize the target waveform.  This educational Math game is simple yet addictive.  Flash ActionScript sample application by Harry Garland.

Zinio

Zinio Express - Developed online magazine viewing application.  Previews are powered by Zinio Express 2.1, a Flash application written in ActionScript 2.

WagerWorks

Roulette 2.1 - ActionScript developer for this popular table game.  WagerWorks, headquartered in San Francisco produces games for the legal and regulated online gambling community in Europe.

Jewel Quest - Developed Flash version of this flagship game for iWin in San Francisco.
